Bone scan results and a surgery date

The bone scan indicated that the cancer has not spread to her bones. This is a good thing!

The mastectomy/reconstruction surgery has been scheduled for June 13 at UCLA. I realize that seems like an awfully long time to wait, and I complained and tried to get an earlier date. It is apparently quite a project to schedule these things, especially since there are two surgeons involved, a longer operating room time slot, and a ton of paperwork for the insurance. The cancer surgeon called, however, to reassure us that, although it is difficult psychologically to wait another two weeks, there is no medical impact.

June 3 she goes for a few tests including a cat scan, which will tell us if the cancer has spread to her internal organs.

June 10 she goes for her pre-op with the plastic surgeon.

Chris' attitude still amazes me. She is happy and running at about 90 percent of normal. The only limitation at this point is limited use of her right arm because of the surgery on May 10 when they removed 13 lymph nodes.
